British Metropolitan Police Mk-II Steel Helmet, 1939
This British Mk-II steel helmet was worn by a metropolitan police officer during World War II (1939-1945). It has a blue paint finish with the title "POLICE" in white, which was the style worn by the metropolitan police.1 The interior has a Mk-II liner with Mk-III elastic chinstrap. The "BMB 1939" stamp on the shell and liner indicate that both were manufactured by Briggs Motor Bodies in 1939.
