British Army General's Peaked Cap, WWII
This is a British Army general's peaked cap from WWII (1939-1945). It has a red cap band with an embroidered badge featuring a baton and sword surrounded by a wreath below a lion mounted King's crown, which identifies the general's rank.1 The peak features two rows of gold leaf embroidery, also to display rank. It has a black chinstrap attached by two gold buttons each featuring the general's insignia. The rest of the cap is field green. The inside has a beige sweatband and liner. It was manufactured by Tress & Co. London.
