French Infantry Chief Adjutant's Kepi
This is a French Dragoon chief adjutant’s kepi from the 1960s. The kepi body is black wool with a red top and silver trimmings. A silver embroidered flaming grenade is featured on the front. Around top crown of the kepi is silver braiding with red inlays, indicating the rank of chief adjutant, as opposed to regular adjutant who wore gold braiding with red inlays. A silver chinstrap is fastened to the front by a set of silver buttons.
