This is a British Army officer’s peaked or visor cap from the Post-Cold War era (1991-Present). The cap features a Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) cap badge on the front. Below the cap badge is a black plastic chinstrap attached by a set of silver buttons embossed with the REME insignia. On the brim is a single black band of embroidery, indicating the rank of captain. The rest of the hat has a scarlet red cap band and piping. On the inside is a A. Grantham Ltd. manufacturer’s stamp.
