Italian Army 9th Parachute Assault Regiment Beret

This is an Italian Army beret from the Post-Cold War era (1991-Present). The maroon beret, worn by paratroopers of the Italian Army, features a cap badge for the 9th Parachute Assault Regiment, Folgore Parachute Brigade, the famous special forces unit of the Italian Army. This badge is the type worn before the introduction of a new badge in the mid-1990s. The beret has two metal vent holes and a set of ties used to adjust the beret’s size. On the inside is a light blue liner and a Boinas Elosegui S.A., Tolosa manufacturer’s label.
