German SA Motorrad M-38 Luftschutz Helmet
This three-piece German Model 1938 Luftschutz helmet features the brown paint and insignia of the SA (Sturmabteilung) paramilitary organization. The insignia was introduced in 1939 and was mainly worn by members of the Motorrad-Meldefahrerstaffeln, or Motorcycle-equipped Messenger Detachments. Only the exterior is painted brown, while the interior remains the blue of standard Luftschutz helmets.
