U.S. 3rd Army/Infantry School M-1 Helmet Liner

This American M-1 helmet liner bears the insignia of the United States Army Infantry School (right) and the Third United States Army (left). It is a WWII type plastic liner with a light olive drab interior suspension with 1950s replacement sweatband and neck strap. The exterior has a black paint finish. It was most likely worn by an Infantry School instructor assigned to the 3rd Army at Fort Benning, Georgia.
