This is an unissued United States Navy foul weather deck helmet. It’s the later World War II (1939-1945) version of the foul weather helmet and is olive drab with a short front visor. The earlier version was dark blue and had no visor. The Navy Department label reads “CONTRACT NXsx 86740” and a size of 7 1/2.
