U.S. Army Officer's Service Visor Cap by Henry's, WWII

This is a World War II era (1939-1945) United States Army officer’s service visor cap. The cap features an olive green wool body and mohair cap band. On the front is a small hole used to attach insignia, which is missing from this example, but the outline of an officer’s cap badge is faintly visible. A leather chinstrap is attached to the front by a pair of gold buttons embossed with the American seal. It wraps around the back of the cap as well. On the inside is a manufacturer’s label for Henry’s Hat Company of Wichita, Kansas, from who the owner privately purchased the cap.
