U.S. Army Field Grade Officer's Visor Cap, Flight Ace

This is a United States Army officer’s visor cap from the early Cold War era (1947-1991). It is made from post-WWII green fur felt and features a gold Army officer’s cap badge on the front. Below the badge is a gold lace chinstrap attached by a pair of buttons embossed with the American coat of arms. The visor includes embroidered oak leaves, which indicate that the officer held a field grade rank (major through colonel). On the inside is a manufacturer’s label for the Ace Manufacturing Company of San Antonio, Texas. The model of cap is “Flight Ace.”
