3rd Brigade Combat Team "Rakkasan," 101st Airborne Division Advanced Combat Helmet
A U.S. Army Staff Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division wore this Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) in either Iraq or Afghanistan. The camouflage cover is adorned with the soldier’s rank insignia on the front. On either side is the insignia of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans.” Along the bottom edge at each side and the back, as well as on the top, are concealable infrared patches designed to indicate friendly forces during nighttime operations.
