U.S. Army M-1 Helmet Liner with First Infantry Division Patch

This is a United States M-1 helmet liner from the late Cold War era (1947-1991). The liner features a large cloth 1st Infantry Division patch glued to the side. On the front, there is some residue indicating a sergeant rank stripe was once present. An American flag pin is attached to the back. The inside of the shell features the name “Brass” and an Army serial number. A stamp on the inside dates the liner to 1983. It was produced by Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company.
