This is an Italian pith helmet from World War II (1939-1945). It is made of cork and covered with white cotton cloth. It features three vent holes on each side, and has a vented top button. A black leather chinstrap rests across the top of the front bill, above which is an Italian Infantry school insignia. The liner is made of more white cotton cloth, and the underside of the brim is covered in green cloth.
