Japanese Civil Defense Tropical Helmet, WWII

This is a Japanese tropical helmet dating around the World War II era (1939-1945). It is made from cork wrapped in brown canvas cloth. It features a brown leather chinstrap resting on the front bill, above which is a Japanese civil defense insignia. The helmet has a four-way vent on the top, and has a brown leather sweatband inside marked “Hare Brand Hat.”
