German Fallschirmjager Single Decal M-38 from Atlantic Front

This M-38 German Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper) helmet was supposedly found along the Atlantic Front, but it has no largely distinguishing characteristics other than its obvious wartime use. The exterior is painted field gray and has a single second pattern Luftwaffe decal on the left. The shell size is 68cm with a size 58cm liner made by the F.W. Müller Jr. firm.

Luftwaffe Second Pattern Service Eagle

The Luftwaffe second pattern eagle service insignia was used on all models of German helmets from 1937 to 1945. It differs from the first pattern “droop tail” and “snake leg” decals by being larger and having a more streamlined design.
