Philippine Army 20th Infantry Battalion M-1 Helmet

This is a Philippine Army M-1 helmet from the early Cold War era (1947-1991). The helmet is a World War II (1939-1945) model helmet obtained by the Philippines from the United States after the war. On the right side of the helmet is a 1st Military District insignia. The Philippine Army was initially divided into separate military districts in the early 1950s and 60s. On the opposite side is a 20th Infantry Battalion insignia. The 20th Infantry is apart of the 8th Infantry Division. On the front is a set of captain's bars while on the back is the name Balancio. The helmet is missing a liner. It was manufactured by McCord Radiator Company.
