Irish M-27 "Vickers" Steel Helmet with Army Badge

This is an Irish Army Model 1927 steel helmet used during the Interwar period (1919-1939). This type of helmet was produced by Vickers, Ltd., and was nearly identical to the German Model 1916. The helmet features a metal Irish Army badge, attached with hooks to the exterior of the helmet. The badge marks the helmet as an officer’s.1 The inside rear rim of the helmet has a manufacturer’s stamp.
