This helmet is an Irish Model 1927 steel helmet produced by the British company Vickers Ltd. It is a lighter steel replica of the German M-16 helmet used in the First World War (1914-1918). The leather lining assembly and chinstrap are identical to the German M-16. This helmet also features two insignia badge holders not found on German models. A white paint covers the exterior and interior (excluding the interior dome). The Vickers Ltd. manufacturing mark is stamped into rear skirt.1
