This is an Italian Model 1941/42 steel paratrooper helmet from World War II (1939-1945). The olive drab helmet includes a leather chinstrap and liner, and a padded leather nose guard. The pad inside the top of the shell has a distinctive five-pointed star shape. The size 58 is stamped in the middle of the star.
