Italian Major's Visor Hat for Medical Doctor
This is a World War II (1939-1945) Italian visor hat for a medical doctor holding the rank of major. The medical cap badge on the front is embroidered and specific to doctors. The hat band is decorated in one small and one large stripe of gold bullion signifying the rank of major.1 The cap was made by Unione MIlitare in Torino.
