This is a Spanish montera, the traditional cap worn by Spanish matadors, or bull fighters. The shell of the cap is rigid while the pieces of the cap extending from both sides are spongy and stuffed with a filler material. Covering the outside of the hat is a soft fibrous, velvet material. The interior liner is made from silk.
