This M-1 helmet reflects the personality of its previous owner, a World War II glider pilot. The front has a hand painted representation of the cartoon Bugs Bunny smoking a cigar and dressed with an officer’s crusher visor hat. Glider pilot wings are painted just underneath the cartoon. The back has a unit designation of the 6th Airborne.
