Manufactured by the Hawley Products Company in 1940, this pith helmet is made of a single pressed fiber mold. It was worn in tropical regions of the Pacific Theater of Operations by U.S. Marine Corps soldiers during World War II. The front has a USMC EGA (Eagle, Globe, Anchor) bronze insignia.
