This is an original World War II M-1 helmet that was repainted and used in the 1998 film Saving Private Ryan. A U.S. Army 29th Infantry Division insignia is painted on the front with Captain rank bars underneath. The liner is an original early WWII type with rayon suspension made by Westinghouse.
