This M-1 helmet was used in the 2002 World War II film Windtalkers. The shell and the liner are original 1950s era types, but the helmet cover and parts of the suspension are not original to the helmet and were used just for the movie. The helmet replicates what a U.S. Marine would have worn during WWII.
