British M-36 Tank Crew Helmet of the Royal Tank Corps
This British Model 1936 crash helmet belonged to a crew member in the Royal Tank Corp (later designated the Royal Armoured Corps) just prior and during World War II. It is made from separate panels of black oilcloth stitched over a cork body and a front pad. The interior lacks most of its original components, including the earphone harnesses, but is a common British webbing liner.
