Belgian Gendarmerie Senior Officer's Visor Cap
This is a Belgian Gendarmerie visor cap for a senior officer. It has a blue cap body with red crown piping. Featured on the front is the royal crown and the gold embroidered flaming grenade in wreath insignia of the Belgian Gendarmerie. A thin strip of gold is stitched to the visor to display the senior rank from major through lieutenant colonel. This cap was worn prior to 2001 when the Belgian police underwent reformation.
