Vietnamese ARVN Officer's Visor Hat
This is an Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) officer’s visor hat from the Vietnam War (1955-1975). A large cap badge with the ARVN seal adorns the front of the hat. The seal features the motto of the ARVN, translated “Duty, Honor, Homeland,” as well as a large eagle holding two swords behind a South Vietnamese shield. Buttons embossed with the same national eagle hold a gold embroidered chinstrap in place. A label on the inside of the hat has a manufacturer's mark reading “An-Thành,” and the size 55, in addition to the address of the manufacturer.
