This is an Italian National Security Volunteer Militia, or MVSN, officer’s kepi worn during the early fascist period in Italy (1922-1943). It features an embroidered MVSN officer’s badge on the front. Attached to the top of the fez is a long black tassel. There is also an embroidered stripe around the middle.
