U.S. Army M-1 Helmet with Close Weave British Netting, 1941

This M-1 steel helmet was worn by a U.S. Army soldier during World War II (1939-1945). Manufactured by the McCord Manufacturing Company in 1941, the shell features a close weave British camouflage netting. The Firestone Company produced the interior plastic liner which is fully intact except for the rear neck strap.
