British M-15 Brodie Steel Helmet of the 29th Infantry Division, BEF

This is a Model 1915 Brodie steel helmet worn by a soldier in the British 29th Infantry Division during World War I (1914-1918). It has a dark green-gray paint finish and features the 29th Division’s red triangle insignia on the front. The liner is completely missing and only the leather chinstrap remains. The initials “S.R.” are written in white paint just outside the inner chinstrap bales on each side.
