This is an early Cold War era (1947-1991) French police motorcyclist helmet. It is modeled after the Model 1933 motorcyclist helmet and has an aluminum shell painted dark glossy blue with black leather front and rear brims. Featured on the front is a early French National Police helmet badge. A leather ear and neck flap extends from the edges to increase comfort and stabilization when mobile. Leather covered felt pads are riveted to each side for added crash protection.
