French Army Infantry NCO's "Saumur" Kepi

This is a French “Saumur” pattern kepi worn by a non-commissioned officer around the 1890s-1910s. The kepi has no unit designation but includes black piping around the madder red turban, indicating an NCO rank. The kepi includes both officer quality gold chinstrap and grenade embossed side buttons.
