This kepi belonged to a noncommissioned officer in the French 453rd Artillery Regiment. It is made from fine black wool and features a gold embroidered “453” on the front. The top includes red piping (faded with age) and a single small gold rank stripe. A gold false chinstrap is attached to the front by artillery side buttons.
