French Infantry Enlisted Man's Kepi, 1930s

The 1930s enlisted man’s standard issue kepi, also known as the 1935 pattern, was similar to the officer’s “polo” kepi worn before WWI. This example features a dark blue cap band and a madder red turban. The chinstrap and visor are black leather. Manufacturer stamps on the interior indicate is was produced in 1936 in Nantes.
