This is a German M-18 style commercially produced helmet worn by a member of the German Army prior to World War II (1939-1945). It has an early glossy green paint finish and features the double decal insignia of the army: an eagle national emblem on the left and tricolor shield on the right. The interior has a commercial three-pad leather lining as well as the name “Fouch” inscribed in white paint.
