U.S. Air Force Bush Hat from Takhli Thailand Air Base

Bush hats worn by United States Air Force personnel during the Vietnam War became an iconic feature of their wardrobe. These hats evolved from the types worn by members of the ARVN (South Vietnamese Army) and were produced in theater. This example belonged to a member of the USAF stationed at the Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base from where USAF flew missions over Laos and Vietnam into the 1970s.
