Italian Carabinieri Enlisted Man's Visor Hat
This is a Italian Arma dei Carabinieri (Corps of Carabineers) visor hat from the Post-Cold War era (1991-Present). The hat features a large metal Corps of Carabineers insignia on the front with the initials RI, which stand for Repubblica italiana (Italian Republic). The Arma dei Carabinieri are the national Gendarmerie of Italy. Below the badge is a black hat band with a red piping. Two chinstrap buttons are fastened on either side of the cap and feature the same grenade motif as seen on the front. On the inside is a leather sweatband and cloth liner. Written on the liner are the initials M.C. and A.C.A Cavalleri ’Van I Compagnia III Plotone, which is the unit that the wearer belonged too.
