German Army Medical Troops Enlisted Tropical Side Cap
This feldmütze (field cap) was manufactured for use in tropical climates by the German Army in World War II (1939-1945). It is made from olive green cotton and features a light blue eagle national emblem and black, white, and red cockade on a tan backing. This particular cap belonged to an enlisted man because it has no silver piping to indicate an officer.1 This cap also features a dark blue soutache, signifying its use by members of the Sanitäts-Abteilungen, or medical troops.2
