This is a German-made Model 1940 steel helmet representing the style worn by members of the Spanish 250th "Blue" Infantry Division in World War II (1939-1945). On the right side is a shield displaying the Spanish national colors, indicative of the Spanish all-volunteer Blue Division that fought alongside Germany against the USSR on the Eastern Front.¹ An outline of a German Army eagle decal is visible on the left side.
