This M-35 belonged to a German Army soldier named “Pieker” (written on the inside leather liner). The original “apple” green paint was covered with a new matte field gray finish during its reissue to adhere to the Wehrmacht camouflage regulations. The liner band is dated to 1941, which is probably the year of the helmet’s reissue.
