Israeli Defense Forces Paratrooper's Brigade M-1 Type Helmet
This is an M-1 type steel helmet of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Paratroopers Brigade. It has the distinct shape of the American M-1, the helmet its design was based on, but was manufactured in Israel. Featured on the helmet's left side is the winged serpent insignia of the Paratroopers Brigade. The helmet chinstrap arrangement is slightly different than the M-1, featuring a three-point system (one loop on each side and one in the back). Furthermore, the liner is identical to the American M-1 style of the 1960s-1970s, but has a shorter profile and includes the manufacturer's emblem of the Tama plastics firm. A stamp on the front brim of steel shell dates the helmet to 1970.
