French Adjutant's Kepi from 27th Infantry Regiment
This is a kepi from the French 27th Infantry Regiment dating to 1890. It features a small black band with a tall red top (turban) typical of early style kepis. The unit number “27” is embroidered on the front. The kepi also includes a gold false chinstrap and gold and red piping indicating the rank of Adjutant.
