British Royal Air Force Junior Officer's Peaked Cap

This is a British Royal Air Force visor, or peaked, cap from World War II (1939-1945). It is made from dark blue wool and features a Royal Air Force officer’s embroidered cap badge on the front. The junior officer rank is determined by the crown cap badge with the lack of senior rank embroidery on the visor. Junior officer’s consist of the ranks from pilot officer to wing commander. The name “MILES” is written in ink on the underside of the interior sweatband.
