This is a United States Navy APH-5 flight helmet from the Cold War era (1947-1991). It is painted the standard gold and customized with orange and white reflective tape, and a blue "Navy" with wings on the visor cover. The helmet comes with built-in communications equipment and an MS 22001 oxygen mask. The fiberglass shell is padded with foam and leather. Lt. Col. Lange's name is printed on the back shell.
