German Fire Police Enlisted Man's Visor Cap

This is a German Fire Protection Police visor cap from the Interwar (1918-1939) and World War II eras (1939-1945). It has a metal national cockade above a first pattern police eagle insignia.1  The black cap band and carmine red piping indicate that the cap belonged to a member of the Fire Protection Police.2 The black leather chinstrap, instead of silver cords, indicates that it was worn by an enlisted man or a non-commissioned officer.3
