German M-38 Camouflaged Paratrooper Helmet named to Ogefr. Prunkl
Found in a farm near Carentan, France, this German Model 1938 paratrooper helmet is named to Obergefreiter Prunkl. He served in a Luftwaffe signals platoon, or "Rgt.N.Zug," in World War II (1939-1945), which is verified by the interior markings. The helmet's exterior has a spray painted camouflage consisting of green, tan, and brown/red. A thick netting covers the top of the shell and is attached by way of several metal clips.
