Belgian Leather Motorcycle Crash Helmet by Fabrique Nationale

This is a motorcycle crash helmet manufactured by the Belgian Fabrique Nationale d’Armes de Guerre (National Factory of Weapons of War) between the 1920s-1930s. The shell is made from hardened fiber covered in panels of brown leather with a vent grommet on each side. Featured on the front is a small leather “crash” pad. A leather flap extends from the sides and back over the wearer’s ears and neck. It includes a ring buckle chinstrap assembly. The canvas liner has the Fabrique Nationale “FN” and propeller emblem stitched to the back.
