U.S. "Ridgway" Field Cap of LTC John Hewitt, Korean War
This is a “Ridgway” style United States Army field cap worn by Lieutenant Colonel John Hewitt. It dates to the late 1950s-early 1960s and is made from olive drab cotton. Feature on the front is a silver LTC oak leaf badge. Each side of the cap has two grommets for ventilation. The interior has a stiffening wire to keep the cap’s shape along with a manufacturer’s tag of the Louisville Cap Corporation. With the cap is a photograph of John Hewitt as a Brigadier General during the Vietnam War (1959-1975).
