French Service Kepi of Colonial Troops Intendant General 2nd Class Julien Dunand-Henry

Julien Dunand-Henry's kepi is horizon blue with two stars on the front and a chinstrap featuring the acanthus embroidery pattern of Intendant Generals. The combination of the stars and embroidery signify the Intendant General 2nd Class rank, which is equivalent to an army Brigadier General. The interior is lined in black silk.

Julien Dunand-Henry was born in 1872. He entered French service in 1897 and by 1929 had obtained the rank of general 2nd class. During his service, he was awarded as an officer in the Legion of Honor.
